Just finished reading this book by Ben Mezrich, about the short history of Facebook. Interesting story, but I thought the writing was over-descriptive, like he needed to fill too many pages with too little information.

The concept (of Facebook) is, of course, spectacular, so shouldn’t surprise anyone with its popularity. Not quite the first social networking site, it probably is the one that got its formula ‘just right’, and the competition just faded away.
